this is a random test post because i was receiving a
Warning: mysql_affected_rows(): A link to the server could not be established in /home/dragonsi/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 183
message, and i had NO IDEA what the heck it was about.
i was editing an old post when i had the warning.
apparently, the google sitemap plug-in is causing the problem? so i’ve switched off the automatic updates — let’s see if it works.
// update: ooh, it did work. strange.
// yes, the archives don’t show "jan 08" — because there’s only one post which is on the front page anyway. i’m using the jan 08 post as a front page static post ^^.
// this is the slightly discombobulated way my mind tends to work…
Obviously, I find it quite a challenge to sit still (”mentally-speaking” — I nerdily observe — because “writing” pretty much means you’ve to see on your arse most of the time anyway).
I’ll be publicly ranting & rambling at a new place from time to time: vs 2.0: Jess’s Rants.
Yes, I’m very mad. Yes, I have quite a few websites.
Yes, I still like WordPress, but since I’ve my blogspot blogs all under the same dashboard, it’s just more convenient. The wysiwyg editor isn’t working here either, and frankly I’m too indolent to troubleshoot OR work solely on code, which was ironically my main reason for installing WordPress anyway!
I may remove “vs 2.0: Jess’s Rants” from my public blogger profile…haven’t decided on that yet, heh. I’ll basically be ranting and trying out new stuff for Dragonsinn over there.
Everytime I say to myself, “I think we’re journalling (handwritten) WAY too much, quit it for a few days”, it always ends up backfiring somehow. Oh well.
PS: Wow, Oasis. I like Definitely Maybe + Be Here Now best.
Sigh, I love this picture so much. No one seems to know who the artist is!
As usual, there’s something not-quite-so-right with my WordPress interface after some customization. My visual editor is not showing so I have to type on code all the time, which I suppose can be a good thing because I *did* want to try WordPress out to get a little better with some coding in the first place.
I’ve a few more pictures on Tattoos Page 1. It’s quite hard to find quality photos of a specific subject, with the accompanying information, lol.
These days, my dad is fixing up the garage. He’s converting part of it into a “wood workshop” for his audio equipment so I’m there for most of the day (a few hours anyway). It’s pretty fun but we tend to need a lot of food, fast.
Ok, sorry this post is so disjointed but look at Adriana Lima, man. She could advertise anything and I’d buy it.
PS: I got some VS undies at a discount; wanted to see how their products are like. The V-string is greeeeaaaaaat. It just sits there=comfortable.
I’ll go find some hot guy pictures next time round XD.

I finished Mr. Ernest Hemingway’s ‘The Old Man and The Sea’. At first I was ready to tear my hair out because of the slow pace, but in the end it was all worth it.
I’m currently sending my complete manuscript out to literary agents (printing the whole thing manually is.very.tiring). I’ve a bunch of books to finish reading, and a whole lot more should be arriving this week from Amazon or Half.com. I’ve gotten both very good books and not so very good books, so that I can learn from both sides.
On the list are George Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’ and ‘1984′, along with William Faulkner’s ‘The Sound and The Fury’, which I suspect I’m going to enjoy very much. I think I also ordered ‘Catcher in the Rye’. Those would belong in the very good books cateogory :).
is a lot harder than starting it, LOL. But yeah, it’s still got to be done.
I was running into some problems, more of the back portion of the book. But got it fixed a little more (this is so like solving mathematical problem sums…I’m talking about E Maths, not A Maths, because A Maths was just so bloody useless for day-to-day life. That whole dy/dx nonsense? Out of my brain, wheeee…).
Towards completing the end of something, I sometimes tend to get a bit tired/distracted/ “lazy” (maybe lazy without the quotes too. This is what happens when you repeat too often to yourself - “I’m A Lazy Sod!!”…while listening to that song by the Sex Pistols, haha). I *have* been wanting to catch up on some reading, and finish Tomb Raider Anniversary. That game rocks. As thrilling as when I first played it all those years back in ‘99 or earlier, wahaha.
Thanks for the well wishes. I’m doing my best not to let y’all (myself, especially) down.
